**Update: The town partership between Worpswede and Olevano Romano was positively approved by the local council on March 11th, 2024! We look forward to expanding our collaborations with the German Academy of Rome Villa Massimo and the Academy of the Arts Berlin. **

The efforts of the Künstler*innen Häuser Worpswede to initiate a town relationship with Olevano Romano, Italy, are continuing to take shape: The Worpswede Cultural Committee has assessed the cooperation plans as positive and voted in favor. The efforts will now be voted on by the local council in mid-March - we hope for a positive decision here too, so that our cooperation plans with the German Academy Rome Villa Massimo can be realized with the support of the Academy of Arts Berlin.

The Casa Baldi in Olevano is home to, among other things, scholarship holders and therefore important initiators of contemporary art from the German Academy Rome Villa Massimo. The scholarship holders of the Berlin Academy of Arts are visiting the Villa Serpentara, also in Olevano.

A town partership would allow the work of the two places, famous for their artistic residencies, to be even better integrated and Worpswede could carry on its tradition as an internationally recognized scholarship center into the future.

We thank all supporters and advocates!
